The original Atlantis Thunder game from Kalamba Games was only released towards the end of last year, but I enjoyed playing it then and I still enjoy this intriguing St Patrick’s Day version of it, too. In general, the overall gameplay is pretty much the same, except for the fact that some progressive jackpot perks also exist within the slot. Of course, it remains true to the Kalamba setup, containing some wonderful graphics and entertaining gameplay features for you to enjoy. I also find the Hyper Bonus option to be a great part of Atlantis Thunder: St Patrick’s Day.

Main Game and Paytable

The layout of this slot features six reels, although the rows are stunted to create a fairly unique design for you to play through. This exists as a 3x4x5x5x4x3 setup. Across this layout, the developer has chosen to include a total of 3,600 different ways to win, which are all set in position. The bet that you can place on these reels can be changed with the relevant buttons at the bottom of the screen. There, you can choose from values between €0.60 and €120 per spin.

Visually, the slot has a lot to offer up, and it’s one of the things that impressed me a lot about it. You’re taken deep under the sea, with various forms of sea life swimming along in the background. Then, upon the reels, you’ll see different symbols, starting with the playing card icons. These run from 9 through to A and can pay out up to €240. Some underwater warriors are also present as symbols, with the highest paying one being the king, who can reward you with up to €600 as a pay-out.

Bonus Features

While spinning the reels of Atlantis Thunder: St Patrick’s Day, you may also see a wild symbol come into play. This one can substitute for all other standard icons on the reels, helping you to create winning combinations. Additionally, there are multiplier wilds that can show up, featuring multipliers of 2x or 3x. If they make up a win, then you will receive a multiplied pay-out for such. These can only show up during the free spins mode, though.

The symbol of the king of Atlantis also operates as the slot’s jackpot trigger, too. If you spin 10 or more of this symbol into view across the reels, you’ll receive a jackpot pay-out. To get the Platinum Bonus Jackpot, you need to spin 14 or more of him into view anywhere.

The free spins function in the game is triggered by the appearance of three or more bonus symbols, which is an image of the temple of Atlantis. Up to 20 free spins can be won with this. Alternatively, you have the option of buying a free spins round, which is know as this slot’s Hyper Bonus. You simply pay out a specified fee and automatically activate a free spins round.

Conclusion

I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed spinning this slot game from Kalamba Games. It doesn’t differ dramatically from the standard Atlantis Thunder slot, but I appreciate the inclusion of the three jackpots. The graphics remain of a high quality and the inbuilt features, like the Hyper Bonus, just make it all the more attractive to play.
